About Darcy Kofol
15 years as a senior Colorado prosecutor. Now in your corner.
From the Prosecution Table to Your Corner
Darcy Kofol spent the last 15 years on the other side of the courtroom. As Assistant District Attorney in Colorado's 23rd Judicial District and Senior Chief Deputy DA in the 18th, she prosecuted homicides, organized crime conspiracies, wiretap cases, and the kinds of felonies most defense attorneys only read about in opinions.
She built and led the 18th Judicial District's Organized Crime Unit, partnering with the DEA's Rocky Mountain Division on T-3 wiretaps that took down major fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine trafficking operations. She secured convictions in People v. Castorena (a quadruple homicide), People v. Che-Quiab (one of Colorado's first fentanyl-overdose murder prosecutions), and People v. Black (a month-long co-defendant witness murder trial). Her work earned her CDAC's 2024 Prosecutor of the Year, the Robert R. Gallager Jr. Award for Prosecution Excellence, and the 2019 Colorado Drug Investigators' Narcotics Prosecutor of the Year.
Now she's switched sides — because she believes the defense bar deserves the same depth of experience the state brings to every case. When you hire Darcy, you hire someone who knows exactly how prosecutors think, charge, and try cases. That's an edge no defense attorney without prosecution experience can offer.

A Different Kind of Practice
Large law firms shuffle clients through a system. Associates handle first appearances. Partners make brief appearances at trial. Clients meet their actual attorneys only occasionally.
Peak 10 Law works differently. When you call, you reach Darcy. When you appear in court, Darcy is next to you. When the prosecution makes an offer, Darcy personally walks you through every implication. Every decision in your case is made with Darcy's full knowledge and direct involvement.
For clients, this means genuine accountability and an attorney who is fully invested in the outcome — because her reputation rides on every case she takes.
Life in the High Country
Darcy chose Breckenridge as the place to build this next chapter. Summit County's mix of year-round residents, seasonal workers, and visitors passing through means a unique mix of cases — and a community worth defending well.
That understanding informs how Darcy approaches every case: with context, with humanity, and with a recognition that a criminal charge doesn't define a person.
